Navigating the Interaction Dashboard

The Interaction dashboard is your starting point for all outbound communications in Oomiji. From this screen, you can create and manage mailing lists, build email templates for newsletters, campaigns, and any other content you want to send, schedule and track those sends, and set up welcome emails that go out automatically when someone signs up through a landing page.

To reach the Interaction dashboard, click Interaction in your toolbar.

What You See on the Interaction Dashboard

When you click Interaction, you land on the Mailing Suite Management screen. This screen is organized into four cards, each grouping related actions together.

Your Contact Lists

This card is where you create and manage mailing lists. A mailing list defines who receives a specific email campaign. Mailing lists are built from segments you have already created in the Database, and they update automatically as new contacts match your segment criteria.

From this card, you can create a new mailing list or open the list view to edit, organize, and review existing lists. Because mailing lists pull directly from your Database segments, the contacts on a list always reflect your current data without manual refreshing.

For step-by-step instructions, see Creating and Managing Mailing Lists.

Email Design Center

This card is where you build and manage email templates. A template is the designed email itself: its layout, content blocks, images, text, and subject line. You can create newsletters, event invitations, promotional emails, or any other content you want to send to your contacts. You can also attach a conversation you created in Insights, so recipients can respond to a conversation question directly from the email or click through to the full conversation.

Many users build a base newsletter template and then copy it each month, updating the content for each send.

From this card, you can create a new email template or open the template list to edit, duplicate, or organize existing templates into folders. For step-by-step instructions on building a template, see Building and Designing Email Templates. For managing existing templates, see Managing Email Templates .

Send & Manage Emails

This card is where you send campaigns and review their performance. When you are ready to send a template to a mailing list, you configure the send from here: select the template, choose which mailing lists receive it (or send to all contacts not on your suppression list), and either send immediately or schedule for a later date.

After a campaign has been sent, you can view delivery rates, open rates, and other performance metrics from this same card.

For step-by-step sending instructions, see Sending and Scheduling Email Campaigns. To understand what the performance metrics tell you, see Measuring Email Performance.

Welcome Email Management

This card is where you create and manage the welcome email that sends automatically when someone signs up through one of your landing pages in Growth. Welcome emails are triggered by landing page signups only. Contacts added through CSV imports or manual Database entry do not receive a welcome email.

If you have not yet created a welcome email template, this card displays an empty state with a prompt to create one. The welcome email editor uses the same drag-and-drop interface as the regular email editor, with a simplified settings panel.

For step-by-step instructions, see Setting Up Welcome Emails.

How Interaction Connects to the Rest of the Platform

Interaction draws on work you have already done in other sections of the platform. Mailing lists are built from segments created in the Database, so the contacts on any list always reflect your current data. Welcome emails are triggered by landing pages built in Growth. And the Conversation dropdown on the email template editor lets you attach a conversation from Insights to any mailing, connecting email outreach to data collection in a single send. Responses flow back into Insights for analysis and, if mapped to a Database field, update the contact record automatically.

This cross-section connection is one of the reasons Oomiji combines these capabilities in a single platform.

A newsletter sent from Interaction can collect a response through a conversation built in Insights, which updates a contact field in the Database, which changes that contact's segment membership, which updates the mailing list for the next send.

Each section feeds the others without requiring manual transfers between tools.

For more on embedding conversations in email, see Embedding a Conversation Question in Email.

What's Next

If you are new to Interaction, start by confirming that your Mailing Suite Profile is configured with a verified sending address.

Without this, you can send test emails but not live campaigns. You will not see an indication that setup is incomplete until you reach the Send Email screen, where the From Address field will display a default placeholder address instead of your own. See Set Up Your Mailing Suite Profile for setup instructions.

From there, the typical workflow is to create a mailing list from your Database segments, build an email template in the Email Design Center, and send it from Send & Manage Emails.
