My Email Won't Send
If you've filled in the fields on the Send Email screen but the send button isn't active, or your campaign went out and recipients received an email from oomiji-dev@digitalavenues.com instead of your address, the cause is almost always an incomplete Mailing Suite Profile. There are three specific steps in that setup, and all three must be complete before live campaigns can send.
Check 1: Is your email address verified?
Oomiji uses Amazon Web Services to authenticate your sending address. When you add an email address to your Mailing Suite Profile, AWS sends a confirmation email to that address. Until you click the link in that email, the address is unverified and cannot be used for live sends.
To confirm your verification status, go to Interaction and open your Mailing Suite Profile. If your email address shows as unverified, check the inbox for the AWS confirmation email and click the link. If the link has expired, delete the email entry and re-add it to trigger a new confirmation email.
Check 2: Have you set a default sending address?
Verifying your email address is not enough on its own. You must also explicitly set it as the default before it becomes active for sends. This step is easy to miss, especially if you only added one address and assumed it would be selected automatically.
To set your default:
- Open your Mailing Suite Profile.
- Locate your verified email address.
- Click the overflow menu (the three dots).
- Select it as your default sending address.
Check 3: Is your domain verified?
Domain verification establishes that Oomiji is authorized to send email on behalf of your domain. Without it, your Mailing Suite Profile setup is incomplete. Go to your Mailing Suite Profile and confirm your domain shows a verified status, not Pending. If it still shows Pending and more than 72 hours have passed since you added the DNS records, verify the records were added correctly with your DNS provider. You can use a free DNS checker such as whatsmydns.net to confirm the records are propagating. If both check out, contact Oomiji support.
The indicator to watch for:
If your From Address field on the Send Email screen displays oomiji-dev@digitalavenues.com, that is the platform's default placeholder. Seeing it means your Mailing Suite Profile is not yet complete. You can save drafts and send test emails, but live campaigns will not send until all three checks above are resolved. For full setup instructions, see Set Up Your Mailing Suite Profile.
